Professor Yu Nai-Ming, Dean of the Program in Japan Studies in the College of International Affairs at National Chengchi University in Taiwan visited Vice President BENTON Caroline F. (Global Affairs), Director Osamu Ohneda of the Office of Global Initiatives, Specially Appointed Professor Joji Kijima of the Office of Global Initiatives, Director Junichi P. Abe of the University of Tsukuba Taiwan Office, Dean Saburo Aoki of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dean Yoshihiko Takenaka of the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Chair Mari Minowa of the Master's Program in International Area Studies on April 22.

In the visit, they exchanged opinions and shared ideas on a faculty-level agreement with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Tsukuba, and had a discussion aiming to initiate collaborative education and research among National Chengchi University, the University of Tsukuba, and Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV) at Sao Paulo.
