U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan visits President NAGATA
On April 21, Rahm Israel Emanuel, U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan, and his delegation visited President NAGATA Kyosuke, Vice President and Executive Director for Global Affairs BENTON Caroline F., Vice President and Executive Director for Collaborative Research KANAHO Yasunori, and Executive Officer OHNEDA Osamu (Director for Office of Global Initiatives).
During the visit, President NAGATA and Vice President BENTON gave an overview of the University, and then Professor SAKURAI Tetsuya of the Faculty of Engineering, Information and Systems, Professor SUZUKI Kenji of the Faculty of Engineering, Information and Systems, and Associate Professor KONDO Takahiro of the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences introduced their research. International students from the U.S. were also present to meet with the Ambassador and his delegation.
We look forward to continuing to promote exchanges with the U.S. in the future.
