Courtesy Visit by National Taiwan University Delegation

On June 18, University of Tsukuba welcomed a delegation of nine representatives from National Taiwan University (NTU), a key Campus-in-Campus (CiC) partner. The delegation included Dr. Chung-Chih WU, Vice President for Research and Development; Dr.Yen-Hsuan NI, Dean of the College of Medicine; and Dr.Chi-Sheng SHIH, Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Robotics (AIROBO).

The delegation held a courtesy meeting with Dr. ENDO Yasunori, Vice President and Executive Director for Research; Dr. NISHIYAMA Hiroyuki, Vice Director of the University of Tsukuba Hospital; Dr. FUKUI Kazuhiro, Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence Research (C-AIR); Dr. SAKURAI Tetsuya, Executive Research Director of C-AIR; and Ms. IWAMI Sanae, Head of the Office of Global Initiatives. They exchanged views on the joint research laboratory "LIFE (Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Future Healthcare Excellence)," which was established in February 2025.

It is expected that joint research and academic exchange based at the LIFE lab will further expand and contribute meaningfully to both academia and industry.
