The University of Tsukuba has 11 laboratory schools, including ordinary schools and special needs education schools. Many of these schools have a long-standing history of more than 150 years and have long been leading elementary and secondary education in Japan as laboratory schools. This exhibition will be presented the history of the education contents and the developmental process of teaching materials and tools of the laboratory schools in intelligible terms. Through this exhibition, we would also like to review of the history and the role in overall educational contents, and to take an opportunity to consider the future direction of the laboratory schools.
