Symposium “Digital Democracy and Open Data”

On October 1 (Sun.), 2023, the symposium “Digital Democracy and Open Data” was held to commemorate the 151st anniversary of the founding of the University of Tsukuba and the 50th anniversary of its opening. Dr. Natlie Pang (Associate Professor, National University of Singapore), Dr. Skoric Marko (Associate Professor, City University of Hong Kong), and Dr. Tetsuro Kobayashi ( Professor, Waseda University) were invited to speak about how the spread of digital networks and open data has changed politics and society, and what possibilities and challenges there are.
